The New England Trail (NET) recently partnered with Artifact Cider Project, a Springfield-based company that makes hard cider with all local apples. The product of this partnership is Trail Hopper cider, a dry-hopped cider made with apples from Pine Hill Orchards in Colrain. To promote the cider, Berkshire and Worcester Chapter leaders will be leading a series of "views and brews" hikes throughout the spring and early summer. These trips will feature a hike on the NET, usually a suggested hike from the NET Map & Guide, with the option of ending the hike at a local bar where participants can try the Trail Hopper Cider. Look for these trips in the AMC activities database, and look for the Trail Hopper in bars and liquor stores near you.
At time of writing, the following hikes are scheduled:
Sun May 15: Mt. Norwottuck
Sat June 4: Mt. Tom
Sat June 11: Farley Ledges
Sat June 18: Seven Sisters
